Dysport is another neuromodulator like Botox and Xeomin.

It’s an easy injectable treatment to temporarily relax your muscles, smoothing away unwanted lines and wrinkles. Dysport smoothes away wrinkles by keeping the muscles underneath the skin from contracting and thus reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

Dysport doesn’t just erase lines and wrinkles -- it can help prevent them. By injecting key wrinkle-prone areas, Dysport can fight signs of aging before they start, which keeps your skin looking smoother for longer.

Like Botox, Dysport is a very quick and convenient treatment without any downtime. After your consultation, Dr. Sarshad will inject the Dysport into the area with a very fine needle. Some people feel a quick prick, but otherwise, it’s mostly painless.

A short time later, you can walk out of our office and go straight back to your daily routine. However, for the first 4hrs it is recommended that you stay upright, avoid massaging/touching the area, and skip heavy exercise. Please see after care for further details.

What is Dysport, exactly?

Like Botox, Dysport is created from Botulinum toxin type A. Tiny botulinum injections in your skin can temporarily relax your muscle to keep the skin relaxed. Since the relaxed muscle isn’t contracting, it helps keep your skin smooth and wrinkle-free.

Is Dysport safe?

Yes. Dysport is FDA approved since 2009, and it’s been shown to be very safe and effective for most patients. Make sure you talk to Dr. Sarshad about any known medical conditions or medications you may be taking.

How long does it take for Dysport to work?

It varies from person to person, but it usually takes about 3-5 days to start seeing results. You’ll get the full effect within 7-10 days.

How long does Dysport last?

Most patients come in for maintenance treatments every 3-4 months.
